I have a problem with this years draft: it stops after the first pick. Yes, quality players are there, and some might even turn out to be great players, but none are too interesting compared to previous years.
Take last year: could Stephen Curry live up to his big March Madness name? Would Ricky Rubio come to America? How would Brandon Jennings fare after skipping college and playing in Europe? Several interesting questions were being asked. 2008 was the year of the one and done's with Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley, and OJ Mayo going 123. 2007 we were asking who would be the number 1 pick, Greg Oden or Kevin Durant?
But nothing stands out this year. Biggest question is will the Sixers take Evan Turner or Derrick Favors. Or maybe what white player the Pacers will take (Gordon Heyward, Cole Aldrich?). So maybe the rookie class won't be as heralded as previous, but teams can still build.

Vitamin Water is not new in the NBA world. They've done commercials with Steve Nash, LeBron James, and Dwight Howard. But this might be up there with Nash's performance. Although the Kloser is really stupid, Kobe's self deprecating humor with his hip hop amish pictures seals it for me.
On second thought, it still doesn't match this classic:

Kinda old news here, but 4 NBA teams have altered some visual aspects of their teams. The Jazz, Cavs, and Magic have slightly changed a few things, while the Golden State Warriors have turned it inside out. Let's start out with the minor changes.

Utah Jazz: As you can see above, the Utah Jazz still have the same nonsensical logo (Utah Jazz?), but instead of changing the whole name, they decided to simply "throwback" the color scheme. The former light and navy blue, is now blue, green, and yellow. Not bad, but I still preferred the former. The real bright spot is the secondary logo, the musical note. It's nothing new, but it's good to see it back in use.

Orlando Magic: Nothing major at all here. In fact, I find it a little stupid. A few years back, the Magic changed from their Penny Hardaway/ Shaq/ Tracy McGrady jerseys, to the current pinstriped jerseys you see now. The logotype on the front of the jersey changed, but the logo stayed the same. Now they seem to realize that things don't match up, and have straightened things out. The magical basketball meteor thing is still in place, so good move, but a few years late Orlando.

Cleveland Cavaliers: So you may not see anything different with this "improved" logo. But a simple google search will show that "a deeper wine and brighter gold" are featured. Indeed the gold is definitely prominent. And guess what? I actually like it! It simply looks better, it pops more, and just seems to fit better. This is actually a minor change that is well done.

Golden State Warriors: Finally, the overhaul of the group. No more of the creepy generic "Flash" character. Nope, they are going back to the widely popular "The City" colors, with a new set of logos. There is no trolly car, but the bay bridge is featured, and the players number will be inside the logo, like the old uniforms. Stephen Curry won't have to be embarrassed any more, the Warriors are respectable again, even if it's just from a aesthetic perspective.

The LA Lakers domination of talk shows continues with Ron Artest's performance and later interview on Lopez Tonight. I won't go into detail as far as reviewing his "Champion" performance, I'll just leave that to you.

You can watch both right here.

It's been kinda boring since Allen Iverson began going downhill, but Reebok's future is starting to look brighter thanks to the talented and charismatic John Wall. Tomorrow, during the draft they will start airing their first commercial with Wall selling the new Reebok Zigtech Slash:
Honestly, I'm not digging it. They Iverson cameo was nice, but there wasn't enough real-life John Wall, and even that seemed forced and awkward. Let's hope they can improve on this "rookie effort".

So you gave in and got a Twitter account. Now what? Who do you "Follow", starting out with @NBA_photos wouldn't be a bad start. Everything from wallpapers to alternate jersey photoshops can be found on his twitpics here.

6 of the Lakers (sorry, no Pau) appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live after their game 7 victory over the Boston Celtics in the Finals. Some of the highlights include: Adam Morrison highlight reel, Sasha fixing his hair, and Fisher checking his privates! Enjoy!

Lot's to catch up on, but first here is Ron Artest with one of the most memorable post-game performances of all time. The press conference after the game seemed the most genuine that I've ever seen. I'm happy for you Ron.
